Creating a company from scratch coming up with a visual theme and designing their promotional material

For this project, I invented an etymology podcast called “Behind the Word” a show which presents the origins of words through storytelling and interviews. I was inspired by shows such as “Wireless nights” by Jarvis Cocker and “This american life”.
The target market of the podcast would be millenials and GenZ listeners.
The podcast would be friendly and inspire curiosity.
For the main logo I designed a hand holding a torch lighting up the title of the podcast, symbolising discovery. I also used public domain newspapers for background of images.

What I have learnt from this experience
This was a very long and complex project. I had to create a design theme that was easy to replicate and instantly recognisable. I gained new skills in Adobe Illustrator and Indesign. I also gained experience in researching target markets and learnt a lot about designing products for print.
